CardCare offers a number of different types of cards from different manufacturers. Their size can vary from 4¼" x 6" to 5.5” x 7.5”, depending on the card you choose. They also come in both portrait and landscape formats.
The paper quality for our more inexpensive cards is approximately 100 pound cover stock that is similar in quality to cards you would find in an art museum gift shop. A number of our more expensive cards will use heavier paper and may be embossed with gold/silver foil – depending on the cards.
You have the option to include a personalized message in every card you send depending on the personalization options for the selected item. When shopping for an item, you will be asked if you want to personalize the item and then the website will guide you through the various layout options for the interior of the card and offer you up to four lines that can be placed in the card. The location of the text depends on the layout you select through the personalization steps. And, depending on the card(s) you’re sending, you can choose/customize the verse that is included in the card as well.
When you purchase greeting cards at your local drugstore, in many cases you purchase those cards with a verse already included on the inside. You have the same option with CardCare cards, but depending on the card, you'll be able to choose the verse that's included in the card. Some of our cards come with a pre-printed verse on the card interior. The personalized message is additional text that you can add to the card, since you may or may not be writing a message in the card yourself. Or, even if you will be signing the card you might want to put your name, company name and contact information at the bottom of the card. It's completely up to you!
If the card you're purchasing has a customizable verse option, the verse will be printed in the card with black ink in a 22pt Monotype Corsiva font. CardCare greeting cards with 'pre-printed' verses, use a variety of scripted fonts and will sometimes come with a colored ink. Personalized messages always use a Lucida Fax (size depends on card size) font that is printed with black ink.
Currently, you cannot select different fonts and/or colors for verses printed on the inside of your greeting cards. However, depending on the card design, you may be able to select the font size/color/alignment of the personal message that will printed on the inside of your greeting cards.
At any time, you can log in to your account to access your Order History. In the My Account option at the top of the website, you can search for past orders by a variety of searchable options including: Date to Send, Date Purchased, Item Category, Recipient Name/Address, Order Number and Order Status. Depending on your search criteria, the website should help you locate the particular order and the Order Status of an item/order.
To see orders you have made in the past, simply log in and go to the My Account option at the top of the website. From there, the View Orders tab will offer some basic order information or by clicking on View All Orders you can use the various search options to find a particular order. After finding the order, you will be able to see what cards you have sent out, the status of each card, card design information and who you’ve chosen to send them to.
If you have just placed an order (or done so recently) and the status of the order is "Order Placed," you have the ability to change information about the order. Go to the My Account option at the top of the website. From there, the View Orders tab will offer some basic order information or by clicking on View All Orders you can use the various search options to find a particular order. If the order is not in process you can edit the item interior, cancel recipients, change your return address for the order and change the date to send the item. Simply follow the options on the screen to select the appropriate action and the website will walk you through the steps necessary to change/edit an item for the order. If an order is processing, you must contact Customer Service and we will do our best to remove an item from being sent/make changes if possible.
No, there is no minimum order and you should feel perfectly comfortable ordering one card at a time. That’s what our service is here for – to make it quick and easy for you to follow up with your clients when it’s convenient for you.
Besides ordering only the cards themselves, CardCare provides you with two mailing options. You can choose between:
(A) Sending the cards directly to your recipients
(B) Receiving the cards first, already addressed and stamped
No, you don't have to manually type all of your recipient's addresses – you have the option to upload address information into your account. Of course, this option requires that you have your database in an electronic format (Tab Delimited, Excel Worksheet, Comma Separated Value files.) Yes, we only use real first class postage stamps. With most general card purchases we use the standard $0.41 "flag" postage stamp, for winter holiday cards we use non-denominational holiday stamps, and birthday cards receive a special birthday stamp designed by the US Postal Service.
We never use labels on your envelopes. Instead, addresses and return addresses are directly printed on the envelope in a formally scripted font. Click here to see a sample printed envelope.
That depends on which mailing service option you choose. You're able to do both, receive the cards first or send them directly to the recipient, using CardCare's mailing service.
Yes. You may choose to send your cards right away or on a specified future mailing date. This is a great service if you want to remember important birthdays, occasions or holidays! By ordering several cards at the same time and having them mailed throughout the year, you can get our best prices and quantity discounts. Though, if you don't want to pay for all of your cards in advance, you might be interested in our Scheduled Event Mailing program.
Currently we only offer first class postage on the web site. But, if you are planning on sending a "one-time" mailing in excess of 2500 cards, we will be happy to work with you regarding a bulk mailing discount. Contact us for more details.
Yes you can, if you've already placed an order for someone and they moved/changed addresses, simply log-in to your Address Book, find the contact, edit the contact information where you will enter the new contact details. Upon changing the contact's address, you will be asked if you would like to make this change on pending orders, and by default - the box should be selected as YES and then you save the changes to the contact. Please note that you are only able to update/change address information for a contact on orders that are not in process. If you need to change the address of an item that has already been processed, please contact Customer Service to have the incorrect card removed and then you can order a new card to be shipped to the new address on the appropriate date.
You can update information on your account at anytime by clicking on My Account and change personal information and preferences on the links provided. If you want to change information on a past order, go to the My Account option at the top of the website. CardCare has existing account relationships set-up with various companies. There are a variety of benefits to having a corporate account with CardCare including corporate discounts, use of corporately approved logos and signatures, use of corporately approved card interior layouts and special reporting options. As a primary corporate account holder, you can generate reports on corporate account member purchases and monitor member account activity.
